Kurt's Tasting Notes#2 | Foley Brothers Brewing | Pieces of Eight Imperial IPA
Wonderful luscious passion- fruitesque hop nose. Flavor bursts with more of the same, wrapped in a crisp malt base with a hint of light crystal malt sweetness. Hop bitterness creeps up in the middle, providing balance and hop flavor yields some spicy complexity on the tongue. Finish is long and strong, with all of the aforementioned flavors blending, lasting, and finally fading ever so slowly, leaving the tongue coated with a pleasant bitter and hop-flavored aftertaste that begs for another sip. Great beer.
And yes, "passion-fruitesque” is a real word...at least it seems like it is after one has finished a 22oz bottle of 8%
